About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Software Tester (Fresher) to join our QA team. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong foundation in software testing concepts and a keen interest or basic experience in automation testing. As a part of our quality assurance efforts, you will work closely with developers, analysts, and other QA engineers to ensure our deliveries meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Understand and analyze software requirements and functional specifications
• Design and execute test cases (manual and automated) to ensure software quality
• Identify, log, and track bugs using standard defect tracking tools
• Collaborate with development teams to understand features and technical implementation
• Learn and contribute to the development of test automation scripts and frameworks
• Participate in various testing phases including smoke, regression, functional, and UAT
• Continuously enhance knowledge of testing tools and practices
Key Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Good understanding of software testing concepts, STLC, and SDLC
• Exposure to automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar
• Basic knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)
• Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) is a plus
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
